Surrounded by sugar plantations, cuddled by mountain ranges and irrigated by a mayor river, HARAS AZUL nestles in a location, which is next door to the world famous coffee-producing axis –Pereira - Manizales - Armenia. There, you will find tourist attractions like the theme parks of Panaca in Quimbaya, The Coffee Park in Montenegro and Bamboo Park in Pereira. Riding bamboo rafts down river is also very popular in the La Vieja River.

The climatic conditions are extraordinary due to the warm and sunny days you enjoy throughout the year. Most of all, because it is such an important region attracting so many visitors from all over the world, the government efficiently ensures the safety and well being of tourists and residents alike.

The land composition in our property is mainly sandy clay. The pastures, in which our horses are allowed to roam freely, are natural grasslands with protein rich legume. The topography has some challenging hills, gentle slopes doted with watering holes and valleys that stretch all the way to the river from which our part of the country takes its name: Valle del Cauca.

HARAS AZUL has transformed the old plantation where our grandfather raised famous Thoroughbreds. Traditionally, each generation leaves behind something new for those that follow and the Lusitano bloodline is our contribution to our heritage in this ecologically privileged environment.
